一、活动目的：提高我校学生英语口语水平，培养他们的英语演讲技能，并选拔2名CCTV杯英语演讲比赛复赛选手。
1.PURPOSE:ThecontestisorganizedannuallytopromotespokenEnglishproficiencyofstudentsofourinstitute,developtheirEnglishspeakingskills,andselectTWOcontestantstocompeteinthequarterof“CCTVCup”EnglishSpeakingContest.
二、大赛程序：大赛分三个阶段进行，即初赛、复赛及决赛。
3.GENERALPROCEDURE:Thecontestwillgothroughthreephases,namely,thefirst-round,thesecond-roundandthefinal.
三、参赛资格：全校所有在籍学生都可自愿报名参加初赛;初赛胜出的32名选手可参加决赛；复赛成绩前12名选手可参加决赛。
2.ELIGIBILITY:Allenrolledstudentsinourinstituteareeligibletocompeteinthefirst-round.32winnerswillcontestinthesecond-round,amongwhom12willstandouttospeakinthefinal.
四、大赛环节：
4.CONCRETESTEPS:
1、演讲次序：赛前30分钟选手参加抽签以决定演讲次序。
1）Deliveryorder:Theorderisdecidedbyanorganizeddraw30minutesbeforethecontest.
2、定题演讲：根据预先给定标题AreBooksGoingOutofStyle?脱稿演讲，稿件自备，时间3分钟。
2）Preparedspeech:Contestantsdelivertheir3-minutepreparedspeecheswithoutreferencetotheirscripts,onthegiventitleAreBooksGoingOutofStyle?
3、即兴演讲：演讲题目在前一位选手进行演讲前由选手抽选，演讲时间为2分钟。
3）Impromptuspeech:Thespeechtitleistobechosenjustbeforetheperformanceofthepreviouscontestant.Thespeechtimeissupposedtobe2minutes.
4、回答提问：外教提出2个问题，选手有10秒钟的思考时间，回答问题不得少于30秒钟。
4）Promptanswer:Thequestionmasterwillasktwoquestions.Contestantsaregiven10secondstothinkbeforereply.Thereplytoeitherquestioninturnhastocoveratleast30seconds.
五、评分标准：
5.JUDGINGCRITERIA:
1、内容要求（30%）：主题鲜明、结构清晰、中心突出，阐释充分、证据相关、逻辑性强，内容生动、能吸引听众注意力。
1）Content(30%):Thespeechisstructuredaroundapurpose,andthisstructuremustincludeanopening,bodyandconclusion.Thespeakerhasaresponsibilitytosaysomethingmeaningfulandoriginaltotheaudience.
2、语言要求（20%）：使用标准英国英语或美国英语，语音清晰准确，语言流利、语调运用得当，措辞准确、句式多样，适当使用修辞手段。
2）Language(20%):Languageshouldpromoteclearunderstandingofthoughtsandshouldfittheoccasionprecisely.Properuseofgrammarandcorrectpronunciationwillshowthatthespeakeristhemasterofthewordsbeingused.
3、技巧要求（50%）：有幽默感，手势、眼神接触与身体语言运用合理，表现自然、自信，有感情、节奏和感染力。
3）Delivery(50%):Thespeaker'sappearanceshouldreinforcethespeech.Bodylanguageshouldsupportpointsthroughgestures,expressions,andbodypositioning.Thespeechsoundshouldbeflexible,movingfromonepitchleveltoanotherforemphasis,andshouldhaveavarietyofrateandvolume.Thespeakershouldspeakwithenthusiasmandassurance,showinginterestintheaudienceandconfidenceintheirreactions.
4、时间要求：演讲时间必须控制在规定时间上下15秒之间，否则酌情扣分。
4)Time:Durationofthespeechshouldbe15secondsaroundtherequiredtime.Failuretomeettherequirementwillresultinthedeductionofpoints.
六、评委组成：初赛和复赛至少有5位评委；决赛评委不少于7人，包括2名外籍教师（主席评委和同分评委各一名）。
3.JUDGINGPANEL:Atleast5judgeshavetobepresentinthefirst-roundandsecond-roundcontests.ThePanelinthefinaliscomposedof2foreignjudges(achiefjudgeandatie-breakingjudge)and5Chinesejudges.
六、计分计时：
6.COUNTING&TIMING:
1、计分：选手的最后得分为除去最高分和最低分的其他五个打分的平均值。
1）Counting:Thefinalscoreistheaveragedcalculationoffiveotherscores,excludingthehighestandlowestscores.
2、计时：选手演讲时间为3分钟（准备）/2分钟（即兴），第三/二分钟前15秒工作人员将举牌提示剩下30秒，第三/二分钟后15秒将响铃提示演讲超时。
2）Timing:Eachcontestanthas3(prepared)or2(impromptu)minutestodeliverherorhisspeech.15secondsbeforethe3rd/2ndminute,acardboardwillberaisedasasignalthatthereis30secondsleft.Then,15secondsafterthe3rd/2ndminute,abellwillringtoletthespeakerknowthatthetimehasrunout.
七、奖项设置：一等一等奖2名，奖励价值200元的奖品，并参加10月份江苏省赛区复赛；二等奖4名，奖励价值150元的奖品；三等奖6名，奖励价值100元的奖品；优秀奖20名。

八、活动经费：大赛活动经费由金陵科技学院教务处和外国语学院联合赞助。
